Established in 2012, the “Beyond These Walls” Student Travel Award provides financial support to Master’s students from any program at the College of Information who are presenting their research at local and national conferences. This award is designed to empower students by offering them the opportunity to present their work and gain valuable experience and exposure to professionals in the field. The award provides generous funding, with a limit of $750 per trip.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, meaning submissions will be considered as they are received throughout the semester.

Eligibility of Participants

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Master’s Degree program at the College of Information.
  • Candidates must be seeking to present their research at the designated conference, rather than simply attending.

Funding

  • Awards of up to $750 per applicant will be made in each funding cycle.

Process

  • Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year. We encourage early submission to ensure timely consideration.
  • Applicants will be notified within six weeks of application submission.
